- Basic spirit and essence — according to the essence and spirit of the Constitution and the laws on the subject, the promotion of democracy in true spirit and eradication of illegal and corrupt practices, is the main purpose of election laws — Due to one or the other reason, the remedy by way of election petition has become fruitless — This situation has created unrest in the public which has not only shaken the confidence in the system but has seriously damaged and threatened the democracy — It is call of the day that all the concerned should be conscious in this regard and there should be no further mockery of law.
