- In the absence of a holiday duly Gazetted by the Govt. no other day observed by the Govt. as holiday which is not endorsed by the Supreme Court can suspend the function of the Supreme Court — Supreme Court is bound by its own rules — Only the Chief Justice can declare a holiday for the purpose of the Court business.
