1. Advance increments were paid to the appellant till December, 2000 — When increments were stopped and it came to his notice at that time he should have filed appeal within the prescribed period of limitation — Held: The appeal was hopelessly time-barred. The appellant was a Science Teacher — He later on passed M.A. Islamic Studies — The qualification for Senior Teacher was B.Sc. and the next higher qualification in the field was M.Sc. not M.A. Islamic Studies — According to policy advance increments shall only be payable on the basis of higher qualification in the relevant field — In the present case the relevant field was M.Sc. not M.A. Islamic Studies — Therefore on the basis of M.A. Islamic Studies the appellant was not entitled to three advance increments.
