- For promotion from the Brass Band and the Pipe Band of the Police department — A policy has been formulated and circulated by the department through a circular dated 25.9.2008 — it is spelt out from paragraph 2 of the policy that at present in the Brass Band, one post of Inspector and one post of Sub-Inspector is available, whereas, in the Pipe Band, there are two posts of A.S.Is, available, therefore, for future, one post of A.S.I is allotted to Brass Band, whereas, one post of Head Constable is allotted to the Pipe Band. The promotion by appointment shall be made in future against these posts from the senior most/holding better record from the civil servants of the branch of Brass Band and Pipe Band.
