West Pakistan Highways Act, 1948

  1. West Pakistan Highways Act, 1948 has been adapted in Azad Jammu and Kashmir in 1950 — In exercise of powers under the provisions of aforesaid law, the Government has defined the highways authorities vide notifications dated 25.4.1968 and 20.1.1995 — West Pakistan Highways Ordinance 1959 was adapted through an Ordinance in 1959 — The Govt. imposed ban upon raising construction of any nature within the municipal limits upto 40 feet on either side from middle of the highway.
