- The contention that the accused is an influential person — He threatened the wife of complainant not to lodge F.I.R. otherwise they would have to face consequences — The instant F.I.R. was not lodged at Police Station but police came to the house of complainant — Police obtained application from complaint — There was no apprehension of the accused person in the house of the complainant — There is no evidence that due to threat of accused person F.I.R. was not lodged — The version was not at all adopted by prosecution till the submission of challan — It was adopted subsequently after a period of six/seven months — It is an afterthought story which does not find support from any strong, cogent and independent evidence.
