- Rules 3 and 8 — procedure for redemption — an application for redemption of mortgage may be filed before the Collector. Under rule 3, after examining the appreciation the Collector shall order that it shall be registered, date shall be fixed and notice to the other party shall be issued — copy of the application shall be served upon the other party — other party shall present the statement of the defence in the form of written statement — Collector shall decide the case on the basis of evidence produced with the application and written statement — If the Corrector is not satisfied, he may order for further inquiry — If the Collector is satisfied he shall pass the order for redemption of the mortgage.
